Blog Reflection

Early in the year, i learned the importance of taking my time on the videos and making sure that they were as good as they could be. you can see this in my first film, i didn't do this, especially in the beggining scene with my title, because it was off to the right and my camera work was horrible. on my second project, i learned how to make the cuts cleaner, but they were not quite perfect. the movie "Baler Interviews," really shows my cutting and in and out points all in work. Later in the year, I had showed that i had learned that concept very well, since i showed this in other projects. one good example is from "cyber-bullying" in the scene when we cut from an interview about cyber-bullying into a group of girls yelling, :"Cyber-bulling is bad!"

some things i learned about film making, would be the rule of thirds, and that you need to keep your shots consistent. i can demonstrate with a video of my own about the rule of thirds but i feel it is so important that i need to mention it anyways. the rule of thirds clearly states that an object needs to be in one of the intersecting lines in the grid of thirds which looks like this #. now the other thing i cannot demonstrate is keeping our shots consistent. i can give you two examples of of this, one is in ryan's values video and another is in "stomp the yard" they are very noticable and make the shots look kind of bad

i would like to say that this class helped me to learn alot about videos and computers and editing.  the teacher was very helpful, and explained throughly about what to do and how to do it. he helped us learn alot and we learned alot of manners under his teaching to.
